Unified Bowling team has success

Osmond's Unified Bowling team has competed in two meets thus far this season. WAYNE — In their first meet on Saturday, Nov. 16, they traveled to Wildcat Lanes in Wayne to compete. The team started off slowly and trailed by nearly 80 pins after the first four games. They then managed to mount a major comeback in the final two games to win by 17 pins. NORFOLK — Last Saturday, Nov. 23, the team traveled to King’s Lanes in Norfolk. They competed in the Norfolk invitational against 16 other teams. The team did not bowl quite as well as they did in Wayne, but did manage to place fifth out of 17 teams. This year’s team consists of Mackenzie Schmidt, Ashley Wingert, Connor von Rentzell, Hayle Krienert and Mason Gansebom. The team next competes in district competition on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m.. The meet will be held at King’s Lanes. Thanks to Main Street Alley and Dennis Kuhl for hosting the team for practices.
