Students place in FFA competitions

OSMOND — Osmond Community School announced recently that Zachary Alderson, a graduating senior at OHS, receivied second place and a purple ribbon in the Nebraska State FFA Farm Business Management Competition, which was held virtually on Thursday, July 16.

Landon Stelling received 28th place and a red ribbon in the competition. Zach and Landon placed 14th out of 24 teams and received a white ribbon in the Nebraska State FFA Farm Business Management Competition. A full team consists of four members; however, because of football camp, the other members of their team were unable to compete.

It was also announced that Caden Wingert and Zachary Reikofski placed in the Nebraska State FFA Virtual Agriscience CDE Contest. Caden received a red ribbon and Zach received a white ribbon.

The agronomy team of Mason Gansebom, Madeline Huwaldt, Ryan Schmit and Blake Bahr finished 18th out of 31 teams and earned a white ribbon in the Nebraska State FFA Virtual Agronomy CDE Contest.
