Students attend UNO Accounting Careers Expo

WAUSA — Wausa accounting students were invited to the fourth annual UNO Accounting Careers Expo held Jan. 31. This was a great opportunity to learn more about what an accounting career could look like, meet local accounting professionals, and receive details on UNO’s accounting programs. There were over 40 professional exhibitor booths with 100+ students in attendance. Wausa students included Morgan Kleinschmit, Charlie Price, and Clara Schindler.

The agenda for the day began with teaching students how to introduce themselves when meeting new people and the importance of networking. Next on the agenda, students were encouraged to meet accounting professionals, in other words “network.” Following the networking session, students attended a workshop that focused on “a day in the life of an accounting student and how to be successful in an accounting career.”
