Steinkraus is new teacher at St. Mary’s

OSMOND — St. Mary’s Catholic School in Osmond is welcoming a new face for the 2021-22 school year as Danielle Steinkraus has accepted the fifth-sixth grade teaching position.

Danielle is originally from Pierce. She currently lives in Plainview with her family. Her husband, John, farms south of Plainview. The couple has three sons: Ryker, three; Rex, two, and Riggson, five months. They love spending time together outside, especially at the river and the farm.

Danielle is a Pierce High School graduate. She earned a degree in education and a coaching endorsement from Wayne State College in 2009. More recently, she received a masters degree in education from Wayne State College in 2020.

Danielle has been teaching for 10 years. Nine years were spent at Zion Lutheran School in Pierce, where she taught various subjects and grade levels. The majority of her time was spent as the preschool and first grade teacher.

Danielle coached volleyball and track for a few years while at Zion. She also worked at Plainview Public Elementary for a year, where she welcomed the opportunity to work with students in the resource room.

Mrs. Steinkraus is excited to begin the school year. “St. Mary’s will be a great fit for me! I am looking forward to getting to know the students and their families.”
