Speech team members bring home conference medals

LAUREL - Osmond speech team members brought home medals in all of their entries at the Lewis and Clark Conference meet on Monday, March 9. Riley Wagner and Kaden Polt placed third in duet acting; Diandra Polt placed fourth in extemporaneous, and Kenzie von Rentzell placed fifth in informative speaking

At the honors level, Kaden placed first in entertainment, Riley placed second in serious prose, Austin Vinson placed third in informative and sixth in poetry, Kiera Moes and Cali Gutz placed fifth in duet acting, Kiera also placed sixth in persuasive speaking and Allie Aschoff placed sixth in serious prose.

Creighton Invitational

The speech team traveled to Creighton on Saturday, March 7, to battle against 21 teams. Riley and Kaden placed first in duet acting, Diandra placed third in extemporaneous, and Riley placed sixth in serious prose. At the honors level, Kaden placed third in entertainment, Kenzie placed third in informative, and Kiera and Cali placed fourth in duet acting.

Before competing at districts, Osmond will have their speech night for the public on Monday, March 16, at 7 p.m. Osmond students have been working hard this speech season and would love the pubic to come to watch their performance. They will then compete at districts on Wednesday, March 18.
