School is set to begin next week

WAUSA — Summer ends next week for Wausa area students.

The Wausa Elementary School Open House is set for Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.

School for K-12 students will then begin the next day, Thursday, Aug. 20.

The students will be provided their laptop during school on Thursday and Friday, with junior high provided a laptop the following Monday.

Preschool will start on Aug. 24.

“We are excited to have your students back to school,” supt. Brad Hoesing said. “Remember education is a collaboration between the parent, the teacher, and most importantly, the student. We are only strong when we work together.”
