School reports one staff member ill

OSMOND — Osmond Community School released the following information through their messaging services, Facebook page and on their website regarding cases of COVID-19:

“It has come to our attention that there are several unconfirmed cases of community spread of the COVID-19 virus within our school district boundaries. There has also been one confirmed case involving a school staff member.

“We ask that all parents please monitor your children for symptoms. Symptoms may include: new cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, fever, chills, headache, diarrhea, vomiting, or fatigue.

“If your child has any of these symptoms, please keep them at home until 24 hours after symptoms have improved. If you are symptomatic or believe you have COVID-19, please isolate from your children and have them monitored twice daily for symptoms.

“If you believe you or your children have been exposed to COVID-19, we strongly encourage you to have your children wear masks at school. Fall activities are in full swing, and we do not want to jeopardize our students’ ability to participate in activities.

“Please help us keep all our children safe. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.”
