Randolph Elementary Student Council members take trip

Randolph Elementary School Historians

LINCOLN — Randolph Elementary Student Council Kids went to Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on Tuesday, Nov. 9. We watched an inspirational pep rally. Some things we learned about are effective communication, sportsmanship, and how to be a hard worker.

We had lunch right after the pep rally that consisted of yummy Valentino’s Pizza. Then we hit the gift shops and concession stands before we watched the Husker Women’s Basketball game against Maine.

An entertainment worker, Simon-Says Steve came up to us and asked, “ Would you guys like to be in the halftime show?” We all immediately said “yes!” We went down and Simon - Says Steve told us what to do. He said that we are doing a very hard game of Simon - Says. Steve also said we’re going to do a 20-second warmup of squats. We walked out onto the court, we smiled and waved at the camera man like we were in a movie! Let’s just say we were a little bit nervous.

The lights dimmed. Steve said, “Let’s start!“ He said it all very fast! Way too fast for us. Luckily we got done soon. We wiped the sweat off our foreheads, then we sat down and watched the rest of the game. The Lady Cornhuskers won! We are all proud to have this awesome opportunity and we had so much fun.
