Osmond students take part in recent ESU 8 Quiz Bowl

NELIGH — The Osmond High School quiz bowl team traveled to Neligh on Tuesday, March 3, to compete in the ESU 8 Quiz Bowl competition. They began the day by defeating Orchard, Madison and Pope John before losing to Lutheran High Northeast and Norfolk.

The team finished with three wins and two losses and earned a sixth place finish out of 31 schools, which was only two rounds short of qualifying for the state quiz bowl competition in Hastings.

The Osmond junior high quiz bowl team traveled to Neligh on Wednesday, March 4, to compete in the ESU 8 Quiz Bowl competition. The team defeated Stanton in round one before falling to Zion Lutheran in round two. 

In the losers bracket the team defeated Christ Lutheran, Zion Lutheran, Plainview and Elkhorn Valley before being eliminated by the eventual champion, Pierce. The junior high team finished with a record of five wins and two losses while finishing fourth out of 25 schools.
