Osmond students compete in Lewis and Clark Quiz Bowl

WAYNE — The Osmond Community School quiz bowl teams traveled to Wayne State College on Jan. 15 to compete in the Lewis and Clark Conference Quiz Bowl Competition. The competition is played in a double elimination format. 

The junior division team won its first- and third-round games before being eliminated in round four. They finished with a record of two wins and two losses. Members of the junior division team are Caden Wingert, Kaden Polt, Zach Reikofski, Kiera Moes, Bailey Schmit and Kenzie von Rentzell. 

The senior division team finished the day with a record of five wins and two losses. After winning their first two rounds, they took their first loss in round three. After winning three consecutive elimination games, they were eliminated in the championship round. 

The senior division team ended the day as the runner up in the Lewis & Clark Conference. Each member received a silver medal for the runner-up finish. Members of the runner-up team are Diandra Polt, Connor von Rentzell, Zach Alderson and Josh Gansebom.
