Osmond Community School students present Christmas concert

OSMOND — The Osmond Community School elementary students presented their Christmas concert, with the theme “The Colors of Christmas,” on Friday, Dec. 4.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the concert was live-streamed on Tiger TV, the school’s YouTube channel.

Students presented both vocal and instrumental selections during the concert.

The following songs were presented during the vocal music portion of the concert: “Turn Off That Nose,” K-6; “Away In A Manager,” K-6; “I Want To Be An Elf,” K-3; “Up On The Housetop,” K-6; “Hark The Harold,” fourth through sixth grades; “Jingle Bell Rock,” K-6; “Silent Night,” sixth grade; “Merry Merry Joy Joy,” K-6.

During the instrumental portion of Friday’s concert, the fifth grade band played “Snowflake Dance,” by Dennis Eveland; “Jolly Old St. Nickolas,” from their Standards of Excellence books, and “Santa’s Angry Elves,” by Rob Grice.

The sixth grade band performed “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” by Michael Story; “The Santa Express,” by Todd Phillips, and “Santa’s Noisy Workshop,” by Larry Clark.
