New staff members welcomed at Wausa Public School

Family: Wife, Staci; Daughters, Kenley, 10 in 5th grade; Kambree, 6 in 1st grade; Maryn, 2 years old. Attended High School at: Wausa

Attended High School at: Wausa Public School, Class of ‘97

Attended College at: Northeast Community College; University of Nebraska-Omaha, Bachelor’s; University of Nebraska-Kearney, Master’s in School Administration.

Last Employment: After UNO, taught at Papillion LaVista for 1 year also Sophomore Basketball Coach. Norfolk Catholic (15 years): Taught 7-12 Social Studies, Head Boys Basketball Coach, Head Boys Golf Coach, and Head Junior High Football coach. Norfolk High (Last 2 years) Taught Junior Government and Sophomore American History. Assistant Boys Basketball Coach and Assistant Baseball Coach.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, helping on the family farm, camping, and golf.

Easiest Transition: Wausa is an easy community to transition to. We know a lot of people, but the whole community has been very welcoming. The job transition has been relatively easy too, the staff is experienced and love working here. It is easy to transition to a place you feel so passionately about.

Other Comments: I feel blessed to have the opportunity to come home and raise my family in this awesome community. I know the people here are willing to sacrifice and make an investment in its young people and I look forward to helping them plan for the future.

Attended College at: Wayne State College

Last Employment: 3rd grade teacher at Norfolk Catholic for last 15 years.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends.

Easiest Transition: The staff as a whole have been more than welcoming to me and my family. Honestly, they have been super supportive and helpful and I feel lucky to work with them. We are also excited to be closer to so much of our family.
