Hoops Skills, Fundamentals Camp held here

OSMOND — Angie Kristensen of United Sports Academy (North Sioux City, SD) and newly-named head girls’ basketball coach at Sioux City North High School returned to Osmond for a skills and fundamentals basketball camp this week. Sydney Rexius, who plays for Kristensen at SC North, was the assistant clinician.

The camp was aimed at providing participants with opportunities to improve such things as dribbling and ball handling fundamentals, shooting fundamentals and footwork for a variety of skills. Angie is an experienced coach at both the high school and collegiate level.

Osmond girls’ basketball Coach David Schmit commented, “One of the biggest things that can make or break a team’s success is their grasp of fundamentals and being able to execute those in a game situation. Angie has a fantastic way of teaching essential skills that put any basketball player on a successful path. I’m grateful we could get her back here this year to help us out!”
