FBLA officers plan for a successful year

WAUSA — The Wausa FBLA Officers kicked off the start of a new school year by having a meeting Aug. 13.

The meeting was held at FBLA adviser Dawn Friedrich’s house and was attended by the Officers: Tyler Baue, Kilee Thorell, Darla Nelson, Ali Lundberg, Trey Mcquay, Emily Kleinschmit, Abrielle Nelson, and Leah Bloomquist.

The three-hour long meeting consisted of first discussing their goals of the year. Top goals included working to improve involvement within weekly meetings and state/national conferences as well as trying to achieve higher ribbons and achievements within the organization.

Dates were then decided for different fundraisers for not only the chapter but for other organizations such as American Heart Association, March of Dimes, and Breast Cancer

Awareness. With less restrictions due to COVID, there will be more opportunities to incorporate members into the community.

Overall, the Officer meeting was a great way to create a better chapter. As an always-improving chapter, it is crucial to take time out to focus on the inner-workings: how to connect to the members, the alumni, and the community.
