10 Tigers earn Academic All-State Awards

LINCOLN — Ten Osmond Tiger student-athletes received NCPA Academic All-State awards for fall activities on Dec. 20, 2019, as part of the state’s continued effort to recognize outstanding achievement within its member schools. 

Of the Osmond student-athletes, two were nominated for each NSAA sanctioned activity: boys’ cross country, girls’ cross country, football, unified bowling and volleyball. 

The sponsor from each activity was responsible for nominating students participating in his or her given activity based on high academic achievement. 

Those honored included seniors Zach Alderson and Aaron Chishiba for boys’ cross country and junior Hayle Krienert and sophomore Riley Wagner for girls’ cross country. 

For football, the two recipients were seniors Josh Gansebom and Landon Stelling. The two volleyball members who were named on the list were senior Kennedy Johnson and sophomore Bailey Schmit. 

Finally, the two Osmond students who participated in unified bowling and who earned the award were sophomore Mason Gansebom and junior Connor von Rentzell.

Osmond school officials commented, “Congratulations on your recognition! It was well earned!”
