Plainview surprises Lady Cards

RANDOLPH — It was a showdown in Randolph between the Lady Cardinals and the Plainview Lady Pirates on Thursday night in a preview of the first round of the Conference Tournament.

The two teams played in the final regular season game before facing off again on Saturday in the first round of the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament.

Plainview earned a 38-36 win due to a scoring surge coming out of halftime.

Randolph scored over 10 points in just the second quarter, putting up 16 to take a 24-19 lead into halftime.
