Homer defense shuts down RHS girls

RANDOLPH — The Lady Cardinal offense wasn’t firing on all cylinders Thursday night, as Randolph dropped a 48-28 decision to Homer here.

The Lady Knights raced out of the gate, building a 16-11 first-quarter lead. The teams were basically even in the second quarter as the defenses took over and Homer ended the frame with a 24-17 halftime advantage.

Homer came out of the locker room after the break with a determined defense, as they held the Lady Cards to just 11 secondhalf points, while putting up 24 of their own to earn the big win.
