Fast start pushes the Bears over the Cardinals
LAUREL - The Cardinals fell to a Laurel-Concord-Coleridge team on Saturday night that has put on a scoring frenzy so far.
The Cardinals lost 83-51 in Laurel, as the Bears shot over 50% from the floor, going 34-60 on the night.
Randolph played well, shooting 21-51, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with LCC’s pace.
Carter Schnoor led the way for Randolph with 19 points and he was closely followed by Keaton Backhaus scoring 18. Avery Bermel would follow with 10 points, and Justin Haselhorst and John Munter each scored two points.
LCC’s top two scores would put up 49 points on the night though. Noah Schutt scored 26 points, and grabbed 14 rebounds for a double-double. He was followed by Izac Reifenrath’s 23 points, and Ty Erwin’s 15 points. Evan Haisch would score eight points, followed by Cael Hartung’s six, Cody Babl’s three and Lucas Rasmussen’s two.
Schnoor would do more than just lead the Cardinals in scoring. He also had seven assists and five steals, both team-highs. Schnoor also was in a four way tie for most rebounds on the team with six. He tied Backhaus, Bermel and Haselhorst.
RHS took on Wakefield Tuesday.
