Cardinals win slugfest against Wynot

WYNOT — The Randolph Cardinals came into Wynot undefeated this season and they were able to hang on to their perfect record but not before getting a real scare from the fired up Blue Devils. It took a last minute interception in the endzone for the Cardinals to leave town with the win. Wynot’s record slipped to 2-3 with the 14-8 loss while Randolph improved to 5-0 with the hardfought win. A hard hitting defensive battle was the best description of this game as the two teams combined for

10 turnovers and held each other scoreless for the better part of three and half quarters. Carter Schnoor lead the Cardinals to victory with a pair of touchdowns. One on a 30-yard pass play and another on a seven-yard scramble. Landon Wieseler had Wynot’s lone score on a three-yard run to lead their offense.
