Cardinals just miss on trip to state golf

PENDER — After bringing a trophy home each of the last three years, the Randolph boys golf team will have to sit this year’s state golf tournament out after a fifth-place finish Monday in the D-2 district at Twin Creek Golf Club. The Cardinals shot a team score of 400 and missed out on one of the three team qualifying spots for state by 12 shots.

Osmond easily won the district title with a 359, with Clarkson-Leigh and Howells- Dodge tying for the last two spots with a 388. Fullerton was seven shots ahead of the Cardinals in fourth place in the 15- team tournament
