Lady Cards make easy work of Winside

RANDOLPH — It was a defensive clinic for Randolph girls’ basketball team last Tuesday as the team swiped 26 steals in a 52-12 win over Winside.

While the Lady Cardinals shot 21-60, a mere 35 percent, the girls barely let Winside shoot, with Emma Bermel and Jaiden Taylor tying for the team high of six steals.

Nine girls contributed to the steal total, helping Randolph go into halftime with a 35-2 lead.

Scoring was slower in the second half, but the Lady Cards continued to extend the lead for the win.

Like with steals, nine girls contributed to the scoresheet for the win.
