Lady Hawks drop last two games

RANDOLPH - The Osmond-Randolph Hawks were home on Monday in basketball action against the Bloomfield Bees.

The Bees came out to a strong start, opening the game with an 18-4 lead after the first quarter. During the second quarter, the Bees would start off by going on a 12-2 run expanding their lead 30-6 at one point.

The Hawks would go on a 12-2 run of their own to close out the first half but still trailed 18-32.

The Hawks turned up the defensive pressure in the second half, holding Bloomfield to only three third-quarter points.

Unfortunately, the Hawks were only able to add six points to their total in the quarter in a slow defensive period from both sides.

Osmond-Randolph was still mounting the comeback.

With only a minute left in the game, the Bees still held a 43-32 advantage.

Defensive stops and missed free throws from Bloomfield gave the Hawks a chance late in the game.

Osmond-Randolph was able to trim it down to a three point Bloomfield lead, but Bloomfield was able to add one more for the four-point difference 44-40 final.
