More charges filed against Haug

HARTINGTON — Another attempted murder charge has been filed against Kevin Haug.

Haug, 44, was arrested last July and was accused of stabbing and critically wounding another man in Fordyce.

Last Thursday the Cedar County Attorney’s office filed more charges against Haug.

After the alleged altercation in Fordyce, Haug fled the scene and tried throughout the day to evade law enforcement officers.

According to court documents filed Oct. 31 in Cedar County Court, Haug is now facing several other charges.

The new charges include another count of first-degree attempted murder, assault on an officer using a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, and criminal mischief.

He will be arraigned at a Cedar County Courthouse hearing on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
