Most corn producers in the area, like the Schmit family farmers shown combining corn on the Byron Gutz farm southwest of Randolph are just about done with harvest. The Nebraska Ag Statistics Crop Report said corn harvested across the state was at 88 percent as of Nov.

18. With the weather turning colder — only a bitter cold 25 degrees for a high on Monday and a low of seven degrees that night — that report is good news. The temperature will reach into the mid-40s by Thursday, but will then drop back into the 30s with a chance of snow.
