Defending state champs pull away to top Cards

RANDOLPH - The Cardinals came close to pulling off an upset against the two time defending Class C2 state champions on Thursday.

Randolph lost to Ponca 45-37 after Ponca ended it’s offensive drought in the second half.

The Cardinals defense played stout, allowing the Indians to score just 14 points in the first half, and taking a 17-14 lead into halftime.
