Cedar County approves $1 million budget increase

HARTINGTON — Spring flooding and a decrease in valuation forced Cedar County Commissioners to approve a budget increase of nearly $1 million this year.

The new County budget was approved last week after a public hearing at the Cedar County Courthouse.

There was one county resident at the budget hearing and no issues or concerns were raised.

The final tax request of $6,244,975.00 for the 2019-2020 fiscal year was approved by Commissioners with a 3–0 vote.
