Bartels is excited to join Randolph school, community

RANDOLPH — The Randolph School Board recently approved the hiring of Brandi Bartels as high school principal. While Bartels’ official contract begins Aug. 1, she is eager to become a vital member of the Randolph School district and community.

Bartels will be replacing Dennis Bazata, who will be retiring at the end of this academic year.

Bartels has a long history of working in public school systems. She taught eighth and ninth grade math at Norfolk Junior High School for seven years, and was a junior high counselor in the Norfolk Junior High School for two years before becoming the senior high school counselor at Norfolk Senior High School.

Bartels graduated from Wayne State College in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree in seven through 12th grade mathematics. She returned to Wayne State, earning a master’s degree in seventh through 12th grade counseling, graduating in 2004, and will be graduating from WSC this May with a master’s in school administration.
