Tigers perform well in opening triangular

PLAINVIEW — The Osmond High School track teams opened their season at the Plainview-Wausa-Osmond triangular meet on Tuesday March 26. The boys won the meet 104.5 to 51 points for Plainview and 24.5 for the Vikings. On the girls’ side, Wausa won the meet with 82 points, Plainview was second at 59 and the Tigers, third with 39 points.

Starting with the field events: In the shot put, Alexis Solorzano won the event (38 ft., 7 in.); Landon Stelling, second (36 ft., 2.5 in.), and Zach Huwaldt, third (36 ft., 2 in.). Mary Kahny won the shot for the girls (32 ft., 9 in.). In the discus, Solorzano placed first (105 ft., 5 in.), and Parker Johnson third (92 ft., 2 in.). Kahny placed second in the discus (87 ft., 1 in.).

Makenzie Johnson won the high jump (4 ft., 8 in.), and Kiera Moes was third (3 ft., 10 in.). Aaron Chishiba won the long jump (18 ft., 1 in.). Justus Maertins won the triple jump (37ft.,6 in.), GraysenSchultze was third (37 ft., 1.5 in.), and Nick Reikofski fourth (34 ft., 5.25 in.). Kennedy Johnson placed second in the triple jump (31 ft., 11.25 in.).
