Tigers downed by Humphrey St. Francis Flyers

HUMPHREY—The Osmond Tiger football team was met with the rare opportunity of playing one of the elite teams in the area. They travelled to Humphrey to take on the St. Francis Flyers on Friday afternoon, Sept. 27. Unfortunately, they were not able to rise to the challenge and lost the contest 68-0.

The Flyers received the opening kickoff and started rolling from their opening offensive drive.

“The bitter and honest truth is that we simply weren’t ready to play and they were,” Coach Scott Morrison said. “When it boils down to what counts, preparation of our team is my responsibility, and I didn’t have the guys ready to play.”

The Flyers scored on their second offensive play with a 31-yard run by Taylor Wemhoff. The PAT was good, putting the Flyers up 8-0.
