Tigers defeat Creek Valley; are headed to Lincoln

BROKEN BOW — The Osmond Tigers punched their ticket to the state basketball tournament in dominating fashion last Monday night, Feb. 25, in Broken Bow, winning by 52 points!

In the district final, the Tigers were paired with the Creek Valley Storm of Chappell. The contest between the two schools was the first meeting in school history.

The Tigers got out to a fast start in the first quarter as they were able to use their pressure defense to help set the tempo and force Creek Valley to play out of their comfort zone.

Five Tigers scored in the first quarter, in a night that would eventually see four Tigers produce double-digit scoring efforts. During the second quarter, the Storm were able to convert on a couple fast break layups and made a couple threes to keep the second quarter interesting.
