Osmond Tigers fall to Pirates in home game

OSMOND — The Osmond Tiger football team had a difficult night against the Plainview Pirates as they fell 52-6 at home on Friday, Oct. 4.

“Overall, we had a really good week of practice, but we couldn’t quite translate it to the game,” Coach Scott Morrison said. “Unfortunately, we didn’t have much of an answer for their offense’s speed and balanced play-calling.”

The Pirates outscored the Tigers 44-6 in the first half. They hit some big plays in the passing game and eventually broke some big runs on the ground.

The game started with the Tigers receiving the ball and Josh Gansebom and his blockers turning in a solid return to the Osmond 26. The ended up going three-and-out on their first possession.
