Osmond Tigers bring home Class D2 state runner-up trophy
LINCOLN — The Osmond Tigers finished off a historic season on Saturday night, March 9, falling just one win shy of a state championship. After defeating Loomis in the first round, Riverside in the semifinal, and coming up short against Johnson-Brock in the state final, Osmond finished its recordsetting season with 27 wins and two losses.
Coach Todd Schulze said, "The state championship belongs to Johnson-Brock and deservedly so, but Osmond can take pride knowing that in our trophy case there is evidence of a 2018 Verdigre Tournament championship, 2019 Wausa Tournament championship, 2019 Conference Tournament championship, and finally a 2019 District championship. The 2019 state runner-up trophy will proudly sit amongst them."
