Four Osmond wrestlers earn medals at Creighton

CREIGHTON — The Osmond wrestlers competed at the Creighton invitational on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The Tigers scored 47 points and finished in 10th place out of the 15 teams competing. Grand Island Northwest was the team champion, followed by Battle Creek and Neligh-Oakdale.

“Overall, I thought that we had a pretty good meet with four out of the seven wrestlers earning medals,” commented Coach Larry McKenna. “Just like every meet, we lost a couple of matches that I thought that we could win, but again the overall effort was good.

“Mason Bykerk really wrestled well this week, winning three matches to finish in third place at 126 lbs. This included an 11-3 decision over a wrestler he had lost to the week before.
