Sixth grade students present wax museum

OHS Tiger Tales

OSMOND — On Thursday, March 9, the Osmond Community School sixth graders presented a wax museum that showcased some of their favorite historical figures.

Students wrote reports, designed posters, and created costumes. They then became that character.

For the wax museum, visitors could drop in a quarter into the student's 'bucket' and the historical figure would come “alive' and talk about their life and importance in American history.

The sixth graders collected $129 which they have decided to donate to the local food pantry.

Instructor Denise Schmit commented, “The students did a fantastic job and had a great time sharing their learning.”

Students performing in the wax museum were, back row: Isabella Keith (left, Paul Revere), Jaylee Knepp (Jane Addams), Nevaeh Newton (Elizabeth Cady Stanton), Adalyn Koehler (Eliza Pinkney), Katarina Miller (Anne Hutchinson); front row: Drake Kingham (Benjamin Franklin), Evynn Kumm (Sacajawea), Trenton Wisely (George Washington), Kenley Friedrich (Lucille Mulhall), Siris Stanton (Rosa Parks).
