Young Tigers to host tournament Saturday

OSMOND — The Osmond third and fourth grade boys’ basketball teams have been practicing since the beginning of December, and participating in a Wausa league of surrounding towns for the month of January.

“We have played a couple of games each Saturday and Sunday,” said Coach Justin Koehler. “We’ve won some, lost some, and come a long way from the start of the season.”

The young Tigers will host a tournament on Saturday, Feb. 4, with the third graders playing in the morning: Plainview vs. Pierce, 9:30 a.m.; Pierce vs. Osmond, 10:15 a.m.; Osmond vs. Plainview, 11 a.m.

The fourth graders will play in a double elimination round beginning at 12 noon with Randolph playing Pierce. Osmond will play against Plainview at 1 p.m. The losers of those two games will play at 2 p.m. with the winners playing at 3 p.m. Subsequent games will be at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
