Worst flood in town’s history hits Osmond, Northeast Nebraska

OSMOND —Wednesday, March 13, marked one of the worst disasters in Osmond in its 129-year history as flood waters poured through city streets. The water spread north up past Fourth Street and west past Main Street.

This flood was the worst ever seen in Osmond, according to some of the older folks in town. Mick Kumm and Doc Johnson both agreed they had never seen it running north across State Street as far as it did on Wednesday.
