THE WALLS COME TUMBLING DOWN

A building which has stood in Osmond for close to 100 years came tumbling down on Saturday, Sept. 21, when the former Tiger Tavern building was demolished. The building was severely damaged in the March floods and owner Bob Stange said at the time that he did not plan to rebuild. Bob and Anita Stange opened the business as Tiger Tavern in June of 2002. Exact records of the building are not available; however, one of the earliest proprietors of a pool hall at that location was Joe Maly, who operated the business from 1923 to his retirement in 1936.
