Summerfest ’18 provides full day of fun and activities

OSMOND — Mother Nature smiled on Summerfest ’18 with cool temperatures and a cool breeze . . . then changed her mind to prediction of a rain storm (which never developed). So, early afternoon activities took place in the area of Poolside Park as planned, then the supper and evening entertainment were moved to the city auditorium. The theme for the day was “Where Our Story Began.”

Kicking off the day’s activities was the breakfast, sponsored by Osmond Fire Department with slightly more than 500 persons being served. During the breakfast hours, Osmond General Hospital Wellness Committee provided free health checks. Also taking place in the morning was a co-ed volleyball tournament. Placing first was the Nathan Krohn team. Complete results are printed elsewhere in this issue. The Senior Center held an open house for its “Down Memory Lane” display room. Guests were welcome both in the morning and afternoon.
