Summer Reading participants encounter ‘Universe of Stories’

OSMOND — The Summer Reading Program at Osmond Public Library took place during the past three weeks, with participants making various projects, playing games and hearing stories, all under the theme of “A Universe of Stories.”

On thefirstdayofSummer Reading, May 21, the kids colored then cut out rockets and connected them topaperstraws toshootthem across a string. They did a similar project with balloons. On Thursday, May 23, they had fun making their own “Night Sky” sensory bottles and playing games.

May 28 was a fun day with the kids decorating rocket banks and playing musical hula hoops (similar to musical chairs). Other games played during Summer Reading included Tic Tac Toe with books and hula hoops, Rock-Paper-Scissors using hula hoops, Duck Duck Goose and Space Bingo.
