OSMOND — Osmond American Legion Post 326 and Auxiliary Unit 326 have selected representatives to attend the Cornhusker Boys’ and Girls’ State conventions in Lincoln June 3-9.

Osmond High School junior Landon Stelling, son of Ross and Miriam Stelling, was selected to represent Post 326, while OHS junior Ashley Wingert, daughter of Tom and Lori Wingert of Osmond, was selected to represent Auxiliary Unit 326. Mary Kahny, daughter of Dwight and Donna Kahny, was selected as alternate for Girls’ State.

The students will study local, county and state government processes in this nonpartisan political learning experience. Every spring, the program provides students with a hands-on educational opportunity designed to instruct tomorrow’s leaders in the privileges and duties of responsible citizenship.
