Race for the eggs!

After days of rainy, cloudy days, Saturday, April 6, turned out to be a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt. A large crowd gathered at Poolside Park, where five sections were cordoned off and brightly colored eggs covered the ground.

In photo above, the K-2nd grade kids take off to grab as many eggs as possible, and to find the special golden eggs and jumbo eggs also hidden in their section. There were three golden eggs and two jumbo eggs for each age group. Those finding the jumbo eggs received a special Easter basket of goodies.

In photo at left, little Will Eckstrom did not take part in the hunt this year, but was content to just “chill out” and watch the excitement. Pictures of the winners in each age group can be found on another page of this issue.
