Osmond pool committee gives results on research

OSMOND — The Osmond Swimming Pool Committee has been monitoring the leakage at the city’s municipal swimming pool since the pool closed for the season on Friday, Aug. 10. As previously noted in the minutes from an Aug. 9 meeting, the pool loses 10,000- 15,000 gallons of water per day. The committee wanted to show residents first-hand what kind of impact this has on the pool and its daily functionality. Pictures of the leakage are included with this article.

The Osmond City Council tasked the Pool Committee with researching solutions for the community in late 2017 as the water leakage was a major concern at that time. After discussion with multiple engineering companies, the committee recommended and proposed moving forward with a new pool facility. Below are current pool facts vs. the proposed new pool.
