Hoppe thanked for her work, flood reports given

OSMOND — At the April 8 meeting of the city council, Mayor James Bessmer complimented Missy Hoppe for her outstanding performance in overseeing a vast number of issues during the time of the flood, which included hours of volunteer time and many miles traveled to meet community needs with more work still ahead. She will continue to coordinate completion of all paperwork to be submitted to NEMA for FEMA.

Bessmer asked the council to consider compensating her for her time and effort. After a brief discussion, the council approved paying Hoppe $750 for all of the great work she did for the City of Osmond during the time of the flood. During discussion, council members asked to include on next month’s agenda consideration of compensation for two other key players for their assistance beyond the call-of-duty in helping with flood issues.
