Gerdes Trap Shoot proceeds donated to Osmond Fire Department

PIERCE — The Third Annual Brandon Gerdes Memorial Trap Shoot was held on June 30.  Brandon, a 2014 Pierce High Graduate, was in his junior year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln when he died in a semi-truck accident on Dec. 6, 2016.  Friends and family gather each year to honor his memory and raise funds for local groups and projects.

This year’s proceeds were delegated to area fire departments for the purchase of equipment.  The Osmond Fire Department, being selected as one of the departments to receive memorial funds, has taken action in acquiring 200 Maltese crosses to be placed on all deceased Osmond firemen’s graves, for those who have served for five years or more.
