Flags Larson is Veterans Day speaker

OSMOND — After being postponed from Friday, Nov. 9, because of a late start to school that day, the Veterans Day program was held on Monday, Nov. 12. The change also necessitated a change in speaker. Sergeant First Class (Ret.) Kenneth Yount, who was scheduled to speak, was unable to attend on Monday, so Dennis Larson, a Vietnam veteran, was asked to speak at the program.

Larson, a Wausa native, now lives in Norfolk.

The program began with the processional by the Osmond High School (OHS) band and presentation of The Colors, followed by the “National Anthem” sung by the OHS senior high chorus and the Pledge of Allegiance led by elementary students. Father Tim Forget of St. Mary’s Catholic Church gave the invocation.
