Cruisin’ for Connor event to stop in Osmond Saturday

PLAINVIEW — A fundraiser benefit and poker run is planned for Saturday, Sept. 14, for Connor Slater, who was injured in a bicycle-car accident in June. The benefit is called “Cruisin’for Connor,” with vehicles leaving Plainview at 1 p.m. and stopping in Orchard, Creighton, Osmond and Plainview.

The event includes a meal at 6:30 p.m. — for which a freewill donation will be accepted — a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and a street dance featuring Rivermill Express.
