Beating the weather. . .

Leah Orr took this aerial photo of her dad, Steve Manzer, combining beans last week. Many other area farmers have been in the fields, combining beans while they can between the wet, drizzly days that have been the norm for the past few weeks. The forecast for the remainder of the week is typical for Nebraska, calling for highs of 91 on Wednesday, 50 on Thursday, 66 on Friday and 55 on Saturday. There is a 50% chance of rain on Thursday, with a slight chance of rain the rest of the week
