Area residents attend community foundation presentation here
OSMOND — Osmond Ventures Resources hosted an open meeting Thursday night, May 3, at Osmond fire hall meeting room, attracting six other area communities, presented by a retiring board member of the Nebraska Community Foundation.
Residents from Wausa, Wakefield, Randolph, Laurel, Tilden, Coleridge, Foster and Osmond attended the information meeting for learning the benefits of what a community foundation can do for their towns. Richard Walter of Shickley presented the details that propelled the town of 341 into building a $2.3 million unrestricted endowment since 2002.
