OSMOND — The community of Osmond was saddened this week to learn of the death of Bernice Blecha, former Osmond city clerk and editor emeritus of the Osmond Republican.

OSMOND — Services for Bernice M. Blecha, 75, of Osmond will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Osmond.

OSMOND — There are few people in this corner of the world who haven’t had their lives touched by Bernice Blecha.

CRETE — Doane Fall Festival of Winds was held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Doane University in Crete.

Sports

The Osmond wrestling team traveled to Winside and Battle Creek in the past week, with several wrestlers placing at the meets.

Winside Invitational

OSMOND — Osmond played host to the C2 Warriors from Neligh-Oakdale on Tuesday night, Jan. 8, the team’s first home game since Dec. 8.

CREIGHTON — The Osmond wrestlers competed at the Creighton invitational on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The Tigers scored 47 points and finished in 10th place out of the 15 teams competing.
