Vicky Bahr, 70

OSMOND — Services for Vicky L. Bahr, 70, of Osmond were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at United Methodist Church in Osmond with Rev. Rodgers Chishiba officiating. Private family burial will be in the Osmond City Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers were Ben Timmerman, Taylor Buchholz, Brett Bahr, Blake Bahr, Abigail Rafert, Brooke Rafert, Jacob Wragge and Kaylee Bahr. Organist was Sue Wingert and the soloist was Duane Christiansen, singing “In The Garden” and “Mansion Over The Hilltop.” Congregational hymns were “Blessed Assurance” and “When We All Get To Heaven.” Recorded song was “Beyond The Moon” by Tex Ritter. Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at United Methodist Church in Osmond. Vicky died on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, surrounded by family and friends. Stonacek Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Vicky L. Bahr was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Osmond to Ralph and Gladys (Hoppe) Clausen. She was raised in Osmond, where she graduated from Osmond High School in 1965. Vicky was united in marriage to Earl Bahr on Aug. 7, 1965, and to this union, six children were born. Vicky and Earl lived north of Osmond for more than 50 years. For the majority of Vicky’s life, she was a stay-at-home mom, but she later worked at the Village Shop, Clausen Brothers Construction and then owned and operated Vicky’s Alterations in Norfolk. Vicky enjoyed many activities during her life, but nothing compared to tending to her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Women’s Bible Study and the staff-parish relation committee, all of Osmond. Survivors include her spouse, Earl Bahr, of Osmond; her children, Pam (David) Buchholz, Jason (Rhonda) Bahr and Justin (Chris) Bahr, all of Osmond, and Angie (Kevin) Rafert of Plainview; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Taylor (DeDee) Buchholz and son Briggs, Blake Bahr, Jacob Wragge and Kaylee Bahr, all of Osmond, Brett (Lacey) Bahr and son Beau of Chula Vista, CA., and Abigail Rafert and Brooke Rafert of Plainview; a sister, Sharon (Leonard) Nix of Mena, AR; brothers Terry Clausen, Pat (Vick) Clausen and Casey (Deb) Clausen, all of Wausa, Tom (Linda) Clausen, Dan (Deb) Clausen, Scott (Jan) Clausen, Mark “Fritz” (Penny) Clausen and Tim (Sharon) Clausen, all of Norfolk and Jeff (Sherry) Clausen of Sioux Falls, and sister-in-law Peggy Clausen of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Gladys; a son, Eric; a daughter, Paula; a grandson, Tyler Buchholz; her brothers, Mike Clausen and Randy Clausen; and a sister-in-law, Deb Clausen.
